Having recorded previous album ‘These Mountain Blues’ live directly to analogue tape in the Tolbooth Auditorium, Stirling, critical acclaim flooded in with a number of Radio DJs including BBC Scotland’s Iain Anderson setting tracks on regular rotation. A busy 2016 schedule followed with performances at Glasgow Americana, Belladrum, Summertyne and Southern Fried festivals.

The forthcoming full-length album ‘Bare Along The Branches’ was duly recorded in the same manner, showing more of his alt-folk & country stylings. His songwriting is raw, honest and has been likened to that of many cult folk heroes including Townes Van Zandt, Dick Gaughan, Son Volt and Martyn Joseph.

“★★★★ A wonderful amalgamation of all things Americana & Caledonia, folk & country combined perfectly” Scottish Daily Express

“★★★★★ Sublime…indie-folk” Maverick Magazine

“McCulloch is an astonishingly good songwriter” Americana UK
